Parallax Agency and St George’s Crypt partner up for those in need this winter

Christmas at the Crypt

Parallax Agency and St George’s Crypt partner up for those in need this winter.

Leeds based Digital Marketing and Innovation Agency Parallax, are partnering with St George’s Crypt with an aim of cooking up a 3-course Christmas meal for those who need it the most. With rough sleepers on the streets of Leeds at an unfortunate high, there is a big demand for local businesses to get stuck into helping the less fortunate.

This is the third year Parallax Agency is working with the Crypt in what will be a really important time, working towards raising donations for this invaluable Leeds based charity for the homeless and disadvantaged. The event itself consists of a 3-course meal, produced with the assistance of Parallax employees and volunteers at the Crypt. Winter essentials including hats and socks will also be provided to those in need.

Office Manager of Parallax, Katie Miles, describes how others can make a big impact this Christmas:

“With winter upon us, it can be an especially difficult time ahead for rough sleepers and those less fortunate who can’t afford three square meals a day. We have worked with St George’s Crypt for two previous years by raising money for ingredients to cook a hearty three-course meal and to provide a selection of winter essentials to hand out on the day. We are hoping to raise an awareness for other businesses to take our lead and get involved.”

Parallax previously ran a Free Food in the Park event where the homeless and disadvantaged were able to come along and tuck into a meal. With Leeds becoming a hotbed for creative talent in the area, it’s comforting to know that new and existing businesses are looking out for the community this winter.

By raising awareness, the developers at Parallax have produced a donate button giving readers who visit their recent blog the opportunity to give something back to the local community.
