Pickerings Lifts, a lift maintenance and installation company based in Stockton-on-Tees, has donated 100 tablets to St Peter’s Catholic College in South Bank, Middlesbrough.

The refurbished tablets, as well as heavy-duty tablet cases, were donated to St Peter’s Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) department to help support students with additional needs.

Karen Pritchard, Assistance Vice Principal for Learning and Support at St Peter’s Catholic College said: “We are happy to receive this kind donation. Many students do not have tablets at home, and we will install a variety of educational apps onto the tablets to help students with their studies.”

Nigel Rose, Network Manager at Pickerings Lifts said: “We wanted to donate our tablets to an organisation that would make good use of them. When we spoke to the team at St Peter’s, they said they would be delighted to accept them, and we hope they help the students with their work for years to come.”
