Rochdale based Frontline Healthcare has announced that it is being joined by Stephen Ormerod in the role of Finance Director.
Frontline, named as one of the fastest growing businesses is in the North West in Ward Hadaway’s recently published Fastest 50, has recently raised capital to accelerate the growth of its Chemist.co.uk online pharmacy business.
Ormerod, with his proven track record in fast-growing, entrepreneur-led businesses, was Finance Director of Traveljigsaw Ltd. (now trading as www.rentalcars.com) the world`s leading car hire broker.
The business was set up by four commercially focussed former directors from Airtours / Mytravel and was initially funded by David Crossland (founder of Airtours/Mytravel). Ormerod oversaw the Finance function. The business grew rapidly and Ormerod helped push through a £25m PE backed management buyout and later a £95m trade sale to Priceline Inc.

Also joining the team is Liam Dawson, former MD of a leading digital agency who brings over 20 years’ experience as a digital strategist working with some of the world’s leading brands such as Puma and Danone.
Together with Head of Digital, Steve Hanson, former Head of Traffic at Buyitdirect, owners of Appliances Direct, Frontline is pulling together a formidable digital team with specific expertise in ecommerce and digital marketing.
