Ring takes top spot after products are put to the test

Ring, one of the UK’s leading automotive aftermarket suppliers, is celebrating after securing five industry accolades. The successes are thanks to continued innovation across its product portfolio and the extensive testing of its products, which is carried out at its onsite Quality Assurance laboratories in Leeds.

Ring is one of few organisations in the country that has its own dedicated on-site ISO:9001-accredited testing facilities. The company has been awarded the Professional Motor Mechanic Top Product 2017 for its RBAG700 Battery Analyser; Auto Express Best Buy with its RTG4 Digital Tyre Keyring Gauge; Car Mechanics Best Buy 2018 with its RUBL1000 Under Bonnet Lamp and Zoom 240 Headtorch; and Home Car Maintenance Product of the Year at the Honest John Product Awards for the RAC610 Analogue Tyre Inflator.

Ring’s Head of Product Management, Simon Harvey, comments: “When these reviews take place we know that we must rely on the feedback of third party judges that will rate our products against others in the market. It can be a nerve-racking time and we never take the feedback for granted.

“We know that having our own testing facility here in Leeds gives us an advantage when it comes to the quality of our products, but to have this reinforced by four independent panels is simply fantastic. It is an endorsement of the intuitive designs and customer insights that influence our products. It’s been a great start to the year for us.”

Ring recently invested almost £300,000 into its Quality Assurance Facility and in establishing a Future Technologies Unit, which will be used to develop new products that will focus on the changing habits of drivers and the evolving needs of the aftermarket.

Product development and innovation has always been a priority for Ring and further investments will be made as the company continues to launch new and improved products into the market.
