The team at Swallownest was delighted to receive an impressive report that
rated the home as ‘Good’ in all areas, demonstrating that the home is providing high standards of care for Residents. This also shows that the home is Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsible and Well-led.
The inspectors were full of praise for staff at Swallownest, highlighting the kind ways in which they provide care for people living at the home. This sentiment was echoed by Residents, who made remarks such as: “I chose to come here, I saw what it was like when I visited, nice and safe. I never really felt safe at home, now here everyone cares.” Another added: “The staff are very caring, nothing is too much trouble.
The report reflected the variety of stimulating activities available to Residents at the home, including entertainment in the home, faith meetings, and outings to local venues and landmarks. Swallownest also introduced ‘Friendship Lunches’, where Residents go out to local restaurants for food as a way of bringing people together.
