One of York’s most popular bars will give locals another reason to party next weekend, as Yates York reveals the new look of its first floor on 29 November, following a six-figure investment.
The venue’s nip and tuck will give its upstairs a new lease of life, updating the décor to combine exposed brick, geometric designs and neon lights, with a brand-new bar and dancefloor also installed. Along with even more TV screens and booths bolstering the bar’s sports viewing offering, they will show everything from the Six Nations to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Arriving just in time for Christmas, the refurb will make Yates the perfect place to party throughout the festive period. With all the offers that Yates is known for still available, such as ‘Holy Cow’ every Wednesday, the bar will christen the first floor with an array of events that will make the festive period fly by.
As it’s the season to be jolly, customers can look forward to a series of Christmas movie screenings – with How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Holiday and Home Alone all being shown in the run up to the big day. Comedy nights and the bar’s take on speed dating, ‘Yates Me Out’, will also give customers loads to look forward to.
In addition, Yates York is helping make Christmas dreams come true with its delicious and indulgent range of dishes and drinks on the Christmas menu. Locals can satisfy their taste buds this December by tucking into buffets made of beer-battered mozzarella sticks, cheese and red onion chutney subs and festive burgers, washing it all down with tempting cocktails such as the Woodolph containing Smirnoff Red, Archers and Cranberry and the Grinch; a concoction of Bacardi Carta Blanca, Blue Curacao and Orange Juice. With a range of party offers available too, it’s the place to book for all your celebrations – whether with friends or with colleagues.
Colin Hedge, General Manager of Yates York, commented: “We’re excited to unveil our new-look first floor to loyal customers and hope they love what we’ve done with it. Bringing it up to date with the fantastic features of our ground floor was a big focus, with extras such as a dancefloor and additional booths thrown in to make it even bigger and better than before!”
