Pontefract based, Yorkshire Choice Homes (YCH) has officially launched Avari Partnerships, a new specialist division dedicated to delivering high-quality affordable homes in collaboration with Registered Providers across Yorkshire and the wider northern region.
The launch comes at a time of well-documented pressure on the affordable housing sector. More than 1.3 million households in England are currently recorded on local authority waiting lists for social housing. While over 60,000 affordable homes were delivered nationally in the most recent reporting year, sector bodies continue to highlight a significant shortfall in provision, alongside rising temporary accommodation costs and increasing pressure on housing association balance sheets.
The introduction of Avari Partnerships marks a significant milestone in the company’s evolution, reinforcing its long-term commitment to creating a dedicated specialist division focused solely on affordable housing delivery. The new division builds on the company’s already established experience of working alongside housing associations and local authorities to deliver mixed-tenure communities that meet local need.
