Yorkshire Training Provider Secures International Contract to Innovate Education in Botswana

Yorkshire training provider The Skills Network (TSN) has won a three-year international contract with Botswana’s largest business school to provide online learning technology and content to over 5,000 students.

Selby-based TSN has secured a three-year strategic partnership with Botswana’s largest college, Botswana Accountancy College (BAC), to support and innovate the College’s delivery of education.

The partnership also sees TSN appointed as the preferred provider of online learning content for BAC’s corporate training division. TSN’s learning technology will be used by businesses across Botswana and surrounding countries, contributing to the upskilling of staff within Botswana’s fast-growing economy.

With its first project in Africa, TSN hopes to bring innovation to learning and development in Botswana, aiding the way in which people can access education and training within the region.

BAC focuses on providing accounting, computing, business and leisure, postgraduate and corporate training to key business acumen in Botswana and its neighbouring countries.

The project in Botswana, coupled with a range of other international projects, means TSN is experiencing a period of significant growth. As such, the organisation is undertaking a recruitment drive to fill 20 vacancies to support international expansion and aid further success.

The strategic partnership with BAC will aid TSN to achieve a year-end turnover of £16m, signifying further growth from the previous year.”
