Burnage Kingsway site to be auctioned with £1.95m guide price

The former Kingsway Business Centre, up for auction with Pugh with a £1.95m guide price

The former Kingsway Business Centre on the A34 in Burnage is to go up for auction next month. The one-acre site, which will be included in the online property auction held by Pugh, part of Eddisons, on 26 March, will have a guide price of £1.95m.

The vacant former business centre includes a pair of 18,000 sq ft two-storey buildings as well as warehouse space, offices and four car parks accessible from Kingsway, Mauldeth Road and Station Road.

Andy Thompson from Pugh said: “There’s certainly a great deal of redevelopment potential for this prime site. It’s situated right next to Mauldeth Road train station and it’s also located right on Kingsway, a main arterial route in and out of Manchester city centre, as well as being well placed for the airport and motorway network.

“The area is largely residential, with a good range of facilities, including schools, shops, eateries and Ladybarn Park close by.”

He added: “Developer Triple Jersey’s revised plans for a residential scheme on the site of the nearby former B&M store on Mauldeth Road have just been given the green light by Manchester City Council which shows that, despite some proposed projects initially being knocked back by the local authority, for both the B&M site and the Kingsway Business Centre site, the planning committee does look favourably on schemes that fulfil its criteria.

Kingsway Business Centre is being sold in partnership with property agent Aubrey Lee & Co. More information on the site and details of how to register to bid in the online auction which closes on 26 March are available on the Pugh website.
