Leading housebuilder Bellway has donated £250 worth of brand new books to Partou Best Friends Day Nursery & Pre school in Mosley Common.
The nursery is located next to Bellway’s latest development of two, three and four bedroom homes; Trilogy on Mosley Common Road.
Recently launched, and with the sales cabin on site scheduled to open in May, Bellway wanted to make a contribution to the local community.
With World Book Day (Thursday 6 March) always a wonderfully fun yet educational day in nurseries and schools, Best Friends was the perfect choice, so Bellway liaised with the deputy manager Kelly Kenyon regarding the right books to purchase for the children.
Bellway Manchester’s Sales Director, Grace Yarlett, along with Sales Manager Sonia Ross, personally delivered serveral boxes of books to the nursery on World Book Day, to great excitement from the dressed up children.
Kelly comments: “Bellway’s delivery on World Book Day was wonderful. The children, many dressed as their favourite characters, were delighted to receive the new books and are excited to read them.
“Books are everywhere in Partou nurseries. They are the main way children seek information and develop their imagination. Reading is such an important part of a child’s early years development, and a key element in ensuring our pre-school children have the knowledge and skills for school life. We’re very grateful for Bellway’s donation.”
Grace added: “Having just launched Trilogy, and with the nursery right beside the development, we wanted to build a relationship with Best Friends and World Book Day seemed to be the ideal fit. Books are an essential part of nursery life, with children of all ages able to enjoy them, so it was super to be able to buy lots of new books for the nursery as well as replace some tired ones. We are thrilled we could make a small contribution to Best Friends and hope the children take great pleasure in looking at the pictures and reading them.”
With its sought after location and selection of two, three and four bedroom energy efficient homes, Trilogy promises to be a development in demand.
