Bellway set to transform The Old Dairy in Hyde

The Old Dairy in Hyde

Work has commenced on an exciting new residential development on Broadway, off Dukinfield Road, in Hyde.

Formerly a working dairy that was demolished in 2008 and has remained undeveloped ever since, the five acre site was purchased from Commercial Development Projects Ltd by Bellway.

The housebuilder will now transform the site into an attractive residential development of 78 high quality new build homes, and maintaining some of the site’s heritage, will be known as The Old Dairy.

Appealing to families, first time buyers and young professionals, a comprehensive selection of three and four bedroom detached and semi-detached house types will be available, all of which feature well planned layouts that make maximum use of light and space and are perfect for modern living.

As with all new homes from Bellway, properties at The Old Dairy will also benefit from a superb specification that includes open-plan kitchen dining rooms, with stainless steel fan ovens, hobs and chimney hoods and a choice of stylish fitted kitchen units, plus contemporary family bathrooms and en suite to the master bedrooms. The properties will also feature good sized gardens and off parking or allocated parking spaces.

Sales director at Bellway, Hollie Reynolds, commented: “We’re delighted to start work on The Old Dairy and look forward to introducing our high quality homes to purchasers in Hyde, where we are already well known for our Canalside development, also on Dukinfield Road, that has been very well received by local homebuyers.

“The Old Dairy is exceptionally well located, around one mile from Hyde town centre and within walking distance of the railway station. It is also just five minutes’ drive from the M67 and less than 30 minutes’ drive from Manchester city centre making it a convenient base for commuters. Residents will also benefit from the beautiful countryside of the Peak District National Park which is on their doorstep, less than six miles away.”

As part of the planning agreement, Bellway will make a series of financial contributions to open green space and education in the local area.

Construction has commenced at The Old Dairy and sales will launch on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 February from Bellway’s Canalside development on Dukinfield Road in Hyde.
