Two businesses are supporting improvements to kitchen facilities at Butterwick Hospice’s Stockton site, helping enhance spaces that are used daily by patients, families and staff.
Thornaby-based Scott Bros has provided a complimentary skip service to remove the old kitchen units and associated materials for recycling, helping the works progress smoothly as the improvements take place within the hospice’s adult day area and children’s unit.
Magnet Projects has supplied and fitted two new kitchens, worth several thousand pounds, designed to improve layout and usability. The upgrades will transform previously drab and outdated spaces into more practical, modern environments for patients, families and staff.
Both Scott Bros and Magnet Projects are corporate partners of Butterwick Hospice, which has delivered holistic care to people across Teesside and County Durham for more than 40 years.

Their support has allowed us to modernise our kitchen facilities without diverting vital funding away from frontline care. The new kitchens will make a real difference to the comfort and dignity of our patients, their families and our staff.”
Butterwick Hospice provides a wide range of services free of charge, including inpatient care, adult day services, home care, bereavement counselling and a dedicated children’s hospice. To meet rising demand and increasing costs, the charity must raise around £5m each year through fundraising and community support.
