Camerons Brewery Opens 3rd ‘The Head Of Steam’ Bar In Leeds

The Head of Steam

Acting on behalf of CBRE Global Investors, the Retail team at CBRE in Leeds has agreed terms at the former Lloyds Bank building on Park Row in Leeds city centre to Camerons Brewery, (trading as The Head of Steam), to open the company’s third Leeds bar.

The 7,500 sq ft unit is being occupied by The Head of Steam, a brand renowned for its wide selection of craft beers. The popular pub chain already has a pub on Mill Hill close to Leeds Station, and a sister site located in Headingley.

The unit located on Park Row in the centre of Leeds will open this summer and will be the brewer’s 16th site within the UK, with pubs already established in Cardiff, Tynemouth, Sheffield, Newcastle, Nottingham, Liverpool, Hull, Durham, Manchester, Birmingham and Huddersfield.

The new The Head of Steam will feature a large selection of UK and world beers. The brewery will house 19 keg lines to include a selection of rotating craft kegs as well as dedicated lines for Camerons’ own Tooth & Claw range and UK brewers Tiny Rebel and Beavertown. A range of premium cocktails, beer, wines, spirits and soft drinks will also be available, and food will be served daily from the recently launched spring/summer menu.

James Fox, Director for the Retail team at CBRE in Leeds, said; “We’re delighted to announce the agreement of a deal to Camerons Brewery to open its third venue within the city. Park Row is a prominent street in Leeds city centre which fuses the financial district with the main retail district and is an excellent location for a new The Head of Steam.

“The size and versatility of the venue has enabled the brewery to incorporate an experiential games area and offer room for private hire and tasting events.”

Chris Soley, Chief Executive at Camerons Brewery, said “Leeds is obviously a city we know very well and we have had great success with the two venues we have there already. We are looking for larger venues as part of our continued growth and we are delighted to have found the location on Park Row. This site allows us to include our latest food menu as well as providing the space for our experiential games area and also for private hire and tasting events.

“We would also like to thank CBRE who we worked closely with to acquire this venue and for their continued support as we look to expand our retail pub group,” Chris added.

Edward Charlesworth, Director at CBRE Global Investors said “Having recently completed the letting of the first five upper floors to Spaces, we are delighted to welcome Camerons Brewery with their Head of Steam concept as the latest occupier to 7 Park Row providing an attractive ground floor leisure offering to complement the office floors above. The brewery has been excellent to deal with throughout the process and we look forward to The Head of Steam opening soon.”
