North East-based property and construction firm, Hellens Group, has announced the promotion of Katie Rumble to development director with a pipeline of significant projects on the horizon.
As development director, Katie will take the lead on some of the company’s largest development projects, which include a mixed use development of up to 210 homes and around 450,000 sq ft of employment space at Queens Meadow in Hartlepool, and the long-term strategic development of Burtree Garden Village in Darlington, set to deliver 2,000 new homes for the region.
Having begun her career as an estimating clerk, and working on tender preparation, Katie joined Hellens Group in 2010. Originally a contracts administrator, and more recently a senior development surveyor, Katie has gained additional experience and qualifications over the past 14 years, including a first-class honours degree in real estate.
During her most recent position as a senior development surveyor, Katie was able to coordinate residential and retail planning applications, providing invaluable experience for her new role as development director.
