‘Insure’ Success on the Big Screen at Leeds Business Week Lunch

Award-winning, independent commercial insurance broker, Lockyers, has once again confirmed that it will become a sponsor of the popular Leeds Business Week (LBW) Networking Lunch alongside Eleven Sports Media, the largest media network in UK sport, and Freeths, the top 50 full-service commercial law firm.

The trio will each pull up a chair at Bibis Italianissimo on Thursday 11 October.

Boasting over 200 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Wakefield-based Lockyers is the first company to win both the Insurance Times ‘Independent Broker’ and ‘Commercial Lines’ Broker Awards in the same year.

Shortlisted for a further four prestigious industry awards in 2018, the year has been another successful one for the insurance specialists, and it is set to take a tasty turn as the business shows it support during Leeds Business Week.

As providers of business, commercial property and residential landlords’ insurance, through its sponsorship of the LBW Lunch, Lockyers will mix business with pleasure, catching-up with existing clients whilst also welcoming new contacts to its network.

Jon Newall, CEO of Lockyers, comments:

“Having sponsored the Leeds Business Week Lunch for the past three years, we know that it gives us a platform to share our experience but without the ‘hard sell’ that is often expected at business events. Not only do we have a great afternoon, with excellent food, wine and company, but we also get the chance to socialise and chat with others about what our business is all about in a less formal environment.

“We know that there’s a lot of uncertainty out there at the moment, and that people want to know that their money is being spent with trusted suppliers who will work with them and not just for them. That’s why, as a Yorkshire business, we offer a professional straight-talking approach which translates industry jargon into English and, perhaps most importantly, goes the extra mile to offer the personal touch that our clients deserve.”

Specialists in providing cutting-edge digital content platforms and sports sponsorship solutions at stadiums and venues across the UK, Eleven Sports Media will bring its team to the table while showcasing all that the business has to offer at the most popular event of LBW.

Having worked with a number of big named brands, Eleven Sports Media will show businesses in Leeds how they can see their branding on engaging digital platforms at sports venues and reap the rewards that the ‘passion for the game’ can ignite amongst sports lovers.

Working closely with local football clubs including Leeds United and Huddersfield Town, the organisation will showcase the ways in which partnership and branding opportunities can result in huge exposure for businesses across the Yorkshire region.

Matt Cairns, Managing Director at Eleven Sports Media comments:

“As we see more and more businesses move away from traditional advertising spends, we expect to see a shift towards branding partnerships which can offer a greater return on investment – both in terms of marketing impact, but also the associated activations.

“With thousands of individuals attending sports events each week, we can offer a fantastic opportunity for brand exposure within the biggest community hub in each city.”

Jessica Coates, Marketing and Events Manager at The Yorkshire Mafia, comments:

“Welcoming Lockyers as a LBW sponsor for a third year clearly demonstrates the fantastic value that it offers to a business. As one of our most well-attended events during the week, it really is a great opportunity for delegates to come together and create new professional relationships in a relaxed and informal setting.

“We would encourage anyone that wants to enjoy an afternoon in the company of some of the largest, most innovative and progressive businesses from across the Leeds City Region to come along, but make sure you register to avoid disappointment as we expect this event to be a sell-out.”

As one of over 100 events which take place throughout Leeds Business Week, the networking lunch provides a platform to meet like-minded business people with a view to creating future professional and social relationships – all with the promise of a delicious three-course lunch.

Taking place at Bibis Italianissimo on Thursday 11th October, from 1pm-5pm, tickets are priced at £50pp, with tables of ten available for just £450. For further information on this, and other events taking place during LBW, visit the Leeds Business Week website.
