Leeds Entrepreneur Opens Biggest Showroom In Yorkshire

Mohammed Patel, the entrepreneur behind Kiddies Kingdom took charge of his father’s business at the age of 14, Kiddies Kingdom is now one of UK’s leading children’s retailers. Founded in 1985, Kiddies Kingdom is a family run independent business which is passionate about making every visit to their website and showroom an exciting, educational, and inspiring experience for their customers.

Kiddies Kingdom’s first exclusive concept store was launched in Dewsbury, on Sunday 30th July and is now Yorkshire’s biggest children’s showroom. Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Coronation Street’s Eva Price attended the official launch in addition to over 500 members of the public and invited guests.

The 9,000-square foot converted textile mill is now a state of the art store and has been specially designed to transform the complicated and overwhelming journey of baby shopping into a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Kiddies Kingdom has one of the biggest selections of baby products in the UK. Boasting over 150 Brands, and 15,000+ products all under one roof. A Premium Certified partner of many well renowned nursery brands such as iCandy, Silver Cross, Maxi Cosi and Chicco.

Chicco supplier Catherine commented on her experience at the showroom:

Kiddies Kingdom have also launched a ‘Baby Wish List’ facility, ideal for baby showers and christenings – taking the stress out of gift buying for your friends and family. Thanks to an in-store embroidery service, you can also personalise many items such as bibs, blankets, and hats to add that extra-special, personal touch.

Managing Director, Mohammed Patel said he is excited to create a boutique experience for parents whilst also supporting a local high street, Mohammed explains:

“We’ve created a destination in Dewsbury and are grateful for all of the support from our local community. With the boom of online retailing, we need to support and invest in our high streets. Our showroom has unique features such as a real car for live demonstration purposes, which has been transformed to ensure that parents can practice and feel confident in fitting their chosen car seat before they leave the showroom.
