Leeds manager shortlisted for Women in Compliance Award

The Compliance Manager at Leeds-based P2B platform, rebuildingsociety.com, Kylie Greeff, has been shortlisted for a Women in Compliance Award. Kylie is one of just five women listed in the Compliance Officer of the Year for Small Sized Company category.

The Women in Compliance Awards celebrate female professionals in the industry on an international level. They are divided into various categories that span several fields within the sector.

The Awards intend to recognise outstanding initiatives, individuals and teams who form part of this innovative, evolving global industry. As equal opportunity and gender parity become increasingly prominent topics in the press around the world, the recognition of women and their achievements in a traditionally male-dominated industry such as compliance is noteworthy.

rebuildingsociety.com’s shortlisted Compliance Manager, Kylie, has been an integral member of the company’s management team since their launch in 2012. Within her multi-faceted role, she leads the legal, operations and compliance tasks intrinsic to a P2B lending platform; liaises with regulatory bodies; and oversees the firm’s Appointed Representatives. She recently spearheaded the company’s application to the FCA to become one of the country’s first fully-authorised peer-to-business crowdfunding platforms.

Kylie is in the exceptional company of an array of international individuals and businesses. Countries represented on the shortlist range from Singapore, Australia, UAE and Iran to Denmark, The Netherlands, Argentina and the USA.

There is a large UK presence across the categories, and all five nominees for the Compliance Officer of the Year for Small Sized Company category are based in the United Kingdom. Three of the companies represented by these five women are based in the north of England: Basketball England in Manchester, KMA Accountancy in Altrincham, and rebuildingsociety.com in Leeds. The inclusion of so many UK-based companies in the various categories is testament to the dedication, diligence and drive displayed over recent years by the many industry players across the country.

The winners of the Women in Compliance Awards will be announced at the grand awards ceremony, scheduled to take place on 22nd March at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane Hotel in London.
