Level, the workspace advisory company based in Manchester, has appointed its first member of staff and a non-executive director.

Sam Harris, 25, has joined as flexible workspace advisor and John Shinnick has become non-executive director.

Level founder Joe Averill says more hires will follow over the coming 12 months as the company looks to further establish itself in the Manchester office market.

“We have enjoyed a strong period of growth over the past year,” said Joe.

“Bringing Sam in, who has all the attributes we look for, will strengthen Level’s position and open up new opportunities in what is a competitive marketplace.

“John becoming non-exec director is equally crucial as we look to enhance our operational efficiencies and drive growth.”

Level launched in the first quarter of 2022 with the aim of equalising the office market by providing advice solely to tenants, as opposed to landlords.

The workspace advisory company find workspaces fit for their people at the best value for their business.

Start-ups, scale-ups, SMEs and enterprises including, Kitman Labs, Venturi, Lunio, Robiquity, Fairmont Recruitment, Chatloop, GigPig, Accounts and Legal, Gibson Hollyhomes, Venditio, Codurance, Bruin Financial and The Talent Crowd have all been represented by Level since its inception.

New Level recruit Sam Harris, who joins from We Have a Meeting, said: “I’m delighted to have become Level’s first full-time team member as it is a company with a clear difference in the workspace market.

“It doesn’t represent any landlords or sell their office space which really appeals to me and I’m very much looking forward to working with Joe, Level’s current clients and with businesses that will undoubtedly benefit from our expertise going forward.”

Level, while primarily operating in Manchester, also has presence in Leeds and London.

Joe added: “The deals struck off the back of the strong advisory work we have implemented in our journey so far shows the value we bring to businesses that operate across a wide range of sectors.

“Companies value flexible workspaces as they navigate the world of hybrid working and a flexible workspace strategy lends itself to the fluctuating market conditions that we have all been experiencing.”
