LSH Auto celebrates successful new registration handover day

At Mercedes-Benz of Stockport, customers enjoyed a tropical theme with mocktails, a DJ, disco lights and tiki bar

LSH Auto celebrated a successful September new registration day, handing over brand new ‘71 plate’ cars to 107 customers in one day across its Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Stockport, Whitefield, Macclesfield, Erdington, Tamworth and Solihull.

At Mercedes-Benz of Stockport, customers enjoyed a tropical theme to hold onto the summer vibe with the showroom dressed, mocktails, a DJ, disco lights, tiki bar and competitions. The lower ground floor was turned in to a huge handover bay with a full row of cars waiting to be collected by excited customers.

Lauren Reid, Senior Experience Partner at Mercedes-Benz of Stockport, said: “The day was a huge success, our customers loved the theme and made the most of the experience when collecting their brand new 71 plates. I also want to give a huge thank you to my team for making this one of our most successful events ever. Go team Stockport!”

Mercedes-Benz of Whitefield enjoyed a record-breaking number of handovers, with 35 new cars driven away by customers on the day. The team at Whitefield used their rooftop showroom and pulled out all the stops for their customers who were receiving their new 71 plate Mercedes-Benz cars. With fizz on arrival, nibbles and an artisan pizza stall, customers were treated to a full hospitality package. The team also added an extra touch by creating personalised number plates with their surnames that they can keep as souvenirs.

Thomas Aaron, Dealer Principal at Mercedes-Benz of Whitefield, said: “What a fantastic day to take delivery of a new Mercedes-Benz. We’d like to thank all of our wonderful customers for making this such an enjoyable event. We hope they had as much fun as we did.”

With 14 new 71 plate handovers it was an eventful day too at Mercedes-Benz of Erdington who decorated the showroom, provided breakfast, bucks fizz, treats and customer gifts.

Aiden Perris, General Manager Mercedes-Benz of Erdington, said: “It’s always a special day when a customer collects a car from Mercedes-Benz of Erdington but new car registration days in March and September add that extra buzz and excitement. We do our best to create a party atmosphere on the day while still providing a personal touch for every customer.

“Collection day must be a WOW experience for our customers. As Gottlieb Daimler said, ‘The Best or Nothing’. Our dedicated front of house and handover teams had a busy day but the joy we see on our customers’ faces when they collect their new cars is what our jobs are all about. This just shows that even in the current global climate the majority of our customers still prefer to collect their new cars from our destination dealership. That said, we understand that a number of customers still wish to shield at home, so we also offer a full digital platform to enable them to browse online, book a solo virtual demonstration from their home, buy online and choose either the click and collect option or home delivery.”
