Manchester-based company Freedom Finance has received recognition for its outstanding customer service at the Call North West Contact Centre Awards 2019.

The fintech lending platform, which matches consumers to suitable loans and mortgages won the Sales Agent of the Year category, with its employee Laurianna Ford, who has worked at the company for over three years.

Over twenty-five people were nominated for the Sales Agent of the Year award, which recognises an individual working at advisor grade in a sales capacity, who has made a real difference to their organisation. Just four made it through to the final stage where they were judged by a panel of industry experts and required to deliver a ten-minute presentation showcasing their work over the past twelve-months.

The awards, which were held at The Midland Hotel in Manchester, were attended by industry figures and finalists from each of the twenty-two award categories – Freedom Finance had finalists in eight.

Bernie Ward, Head of Contact Centre Operations at Freedom Finance, said: “I have never met anyone with the passion, drive and work ethic Laurianna displays on a daily basis. She regularly exceeds the targets set for her and often achieves more than those working full-time.

“She is self-motivated and takes ownership of her own performance and development. She’s a great role model for new employees.”

Freedom Finance is known for its high standards of customer service at its UK-based contact centres, consistently achieving top scores on consumer review sites such as Trustpilot and Net Promoter. At this year’s awards, the company was nominated across six categories including; Hero of the Year, Contact Centre Manager of the Year, Team Leader of the Year and Customer Service Agent of the Year, and faced competition from companies such as Sofology and BT.

Michelle Wren, HR Director at Freedom Finance, said: “All of us at Freedom Finance are extremely pleased for Laurianna, who is thoroughly deserving of this award. We’re proud to put people at the centre of our business and hope Laurianna will continue to nurture other talent from within the company. She is a great example of how important the human touch continues to be in customer service.”

Call North West are backed by the North West Regional Development Agency and the University of Central Lancashire. Their network supports contact centres across the north west region.
