New senior hire at PMD Business Finance

Oldham-based PMD Business Finance has bolstered its senior management team with a new operations manager.

Jonny Kirkham joined the team this summer, as part of PMD’s expansion plans.

Over the last year, the firm arranged 2,516 deals, lending £108million. PMD also relocated to a larger space at Howarth Court in Oldham in order to house its rising 30+ staff count, which has grown from just eight staff members when the business was founded in 2010.

Peter Dobson, managing director of PMD Business Finance, said: “Jonny’s appointment is the latest development in our expansion plans. Jonny brings with him impressive experience and will certainly be a welcome addition to our growing team and senior management.”

“So far, 2019 has been an exciting year for PMD Business Finance. We launched our invoice finance division earlier this year and it’s already had a huge positive effect, allowing us to attack the asset-based lending marketplace. We also introduced our training academy ‘Accelerate’ this summer, with the aim of attracting fresh and young talent to join our sales team and learn through a structured training and development programme.”

New operations manager, Jonny, previously worked at Sage UK for ten years, as well as Reed Recruitment Specialists and CarFinance 247.

Jonny said: “My new role means I have responsibility for the sales support processes, with a focus on how we make ourselves more efficient to allow for growth. I manage people in the process, so I need to drive and manage change through effective leadership and management. My focus will be on understanding and mapping out our processes, understanding where we can be better and then creating new ways to do things.”

Jonny added: “In the next 12 months, my goal is to have a sales support team that have all the tools and resources to do their job, which will then empower them to deliver a great service to our customers. I want clear standards in place and I want the team to measure up against those standards. I want our customers to hold us to account and for us to put the customer first.”
