Pacifica Group overcomes Covid challenges to engineer growth

Pacifica Group engineers are making more than 8,500 customer visits per week across the UK.

Pacifica Group, the leading UK domestic energy and appliance services provider, has reported strong revenue growth and a positive outlook in its latest set of annual results, despite the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic.

The national company, which has its headquarters in Durham, England reported a group revenue of £54.2m, up from £42.0m from its previous financial year.

Prior to the pandemic, the group was trading well with revenue and EBITDA forecast to increase year-on-year for its year ending 31 March 2020, which was suppressed by the early part of the pandemic.

Despite the COVID impact on revenue, EBITDA for the Group was £1.5m. While this is lower than the previous year, it does include substantial investment in Pacifica Group’s management structure and development projects, which will support further growth in the coming years.


The results of the investments made in its operations in 2019/20 are reflected in the increased activity of its field-based engineers who are, in the current financial year, now making in excess of 8,500 customer visits per week across the group’s divisions.

During the year to 31 March 2020 the group also enhanced its renewable energy credentials by completing the acquisition of Oakes Energy Services Ltd, which provides solutions, such as air & ground source heating and solar PV in both the domestic and commercial property markets.

This offering is set to expand significantly as the UK Government rolls out a number green energy schemes as it aims to reduce carbon footprint and enhance improve energy efficiency.

Kevin Brown, CEO of Pacifica Group, said: “We are very pleased with our performance as the COVID pandemic presents significant challenges, which we recognised early in 2020.

“However, the multiple initiatives and measures introduced since the March lockdown have put the group on a solid platform for the remainder of the current financial year and the future.

“A clear indication of this has been our confidence to continue to growth through acquisition. Despite the pandemic we have pressed ahead with our strategy with the investment in TK Garnham, which has added around 18,000 repairs per annum to our appliance services business. We have a pipeline of targets for further acquisition, with announcements due in the in the near future.”

Pacifica Group comprises of Pacifica Home Services, Pacifica Appliance Services, which include the flagship consumer brand, 0800 Repair, alongside its UK Warranty division.

Through its Appliance Services and Home Services Divisions, the group undertakes repairs and installations across the UK on a range of appliances from washing machines and dishwashers, to boilers and renewable technology, working closely with manufacturers and blue-chip clients such Electrolux, Sony, Hisense, Vestel Howdens and LG.

Its Home Services Division, along with working in the social housing and new build sectors, works with the big six utility providers and insurance companies across the UK.
