Peter Duffy Ltd Launches £50K Charity Challenge

Peter Duffy Ltd, the civil engineering company headquartered in Wakefield, is marking its 50th year in business with the launch of a £50k charity challenge to support five organisations, Cancer Research UK, The British Heart Foundation, Wakefield Hospice, Water Aid and The Lighthouse Club.

With a full calendar of events taking place throughout 2022, the company is already on track to meet its ambitious target but is calling upon its colleagues, partners, suppliers and clients to get involved too.

The most recent activity, a 50-mile relay cycle race at the BKCAT cycle track in Wakefield, saw teams of riders from Peter Duffy Ltd, along with clients and supply chain partners, all clock up the miles and raise further funds for each of the five charities.

Event organiser and keen cyclist, Rob Hudson, said: “There were lots of ways that Peter Duffy could celebrate 50 years in business, however a charity challenge felt like the best fit for us. After all, the company values are very much focused on our people and giving back.

“There is no doubt that £50k is an ambitious target, but we are determined to reach it. The response so far has been great, and we hope that even more people will come forward and join in with the fun as we take part in more events and fundraising initiatives throughout the year.”
