CEO Sleepout is challenging bosses from companies across Leeds to take part in this year’s charity event.
On September 27th 2018, at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, business leaders will be literally ‘sleeping out’ in a bid to raise money for charities helping in the fight against homelessness and poverty.
This year CEO Sleepout has partnered with Simon on the Streets to bring together fundraisers from all walks of life to spend the night under the stars, experiencing a little of what those without homes go through every single night.
Simon on the Streets offers street-based support for those in need in the Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield areas, providing front-line emotional and practical support. The charity holds its own ‘Sleep with Simon’ fundraising initiative and this year participants will be joined by CEO Sleepout supporters.
Founded four years ago by Chairman, Andy Preston, CEO Sleepout events have been held at venues across the country including Wembley Stadium, St James’ Park Newcastle, Old Trafford cricket ground, Alnwick Gardens and The Oval.
CEO Sleepout’s National Coordinator, Bianca Robinson, said: “We are very grateful for the many business people who have taken part in our fundraising events across the country and want to challenge the Leeds businesses to show their generosity and get involved.
“Giving up one night of comfort offers the participants a snapshot of what life on the streets is really like for those living with homelessness and poverty. We’re inviting CEOs, senior level staff and their teams from across Leeds to take part in what is sure to be a memorable and rewarding night.”
