Local solicitors, Taylor&Emmet LLP, are kicking off a firm-wide undertaking to raise at least £10,000 for local and national charities.

Staff at Taylor&Emmet’s offices across South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire will be uniting to organise a series of fundraising events to benefit four good causes.

All money raised by the firm in the next 12 months will be split between Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, Support Dogs, the Birth Trauma Association and the Disasters Emergency Committee.

A volunteer charity committee has been established to coordinate the firm’s fundraising efforts and all five offices will be holding a series of events internally to boost donations. In addition, Taylor&Emmet is hosting a number of fundraisers dedicated to its chosen charities. For example, a ‘Dog and Doughnut’ day was held recently for Support Dogs, at which two support dogs visited the firm’s Sheffield headquarters to sell doughnuts and merchandise to staff.

Josh Proud, Taylor&Emmet’s marketing manager, said: “Although we have a long history of charitable support, this is the first time we have been bold enough to set ourselves an ambitious target and take such a structured approach to our fundraising. We have a highly motivated, enthusiastic charity committee leading this initiative and I am really looking forward to seeing their creative and inspiring ideas come to life to benefit our chosen organisations.”

Taylor&Emmet is also launching a new scheme for all employees, offering them a paid volunteer day each year that can be spent at any charity of their choice. This will enable its 200 plus workforce to give time to community initiatives that are close to their heart and make a practical contribution.
