Teesside financial planners welcome sixth chartered recruit

Andrew Haley

Active Chartered Financial Planners has expanded its team and welcomed Andrew Haley, a financial planner, with a ‘wealth’ of experience in the field.

Andrew Haley, whose family is originally from Teesside, has worked in financial services since 2011, as both a paraplanner and financial adviser. In his previous role, he worked as part of a team of pension specialists where he held the prestigious pension transfer specialist (PTS) status.

In 2016, Andrew reached the final of the CISI’s (Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment) Financial Planning Awards, shortlisted in the category of ‘Paraplanner of the Year’ and gained Chartered status the following year. His appointment brings Active’s number of Chartered status financial planners to six.

As a specialist in pensions and retirement planning, Andrew will provide excellent support to the paraplanning team; researching the range of products available and writing detailed reports for clients, while building his own client portfolio as a Chartered financial planner.

Paul Gibson, director and Chartered financial planner, said: “Andrew is an excellent addition to the team.

“Chartered status is not easily achieved; it takes time and commitment but means that Andrew has the best and most up to date knowledge to share with our clients.”

Andrew added: “I am so pleased to be joining Active.”

“With the firm so focussed on continual professional development, I will carry on with my studies (for more qualifications) as soon as I get settled.”

Married with two daughters, aged 8 and 4, Andrew is a committed Middlesbrough FC fan and season ticket holder.
