Yorkshire business owner continues exciting success story

A local businessman, which has owned one of the regions housebuilding companies since 2015, has rebranded the company as it begins an exciting new chapter of growth and diversity.

Jason Begg, from Kinsley, Pontefract who has his business based in Kinsley, has rebranded Yorkshire Choice Homes to Avari Homes.

It forms just one part of the newly established Avari company, which also incorporates Avari Partnerships, Avari Construction and Avari Civil Engineering.

“The Yorkshire Choice Homes brand has served us well since 2015 and our new name will allow us to move into the wider Yorkshire region whilst retaining our current team, values and delivery approach,” said Jason Begg, Managing Director, Avari Homes. “We are very proud of our Yorkshire heritage, and this investment will allow us continued growth including offering more employment opportunities for local people and investing in our community in a number of ways.”

Over the next five years, Avari Homes has ambitious plans to deliver 1500 units across the region, strengthening its position as one of Yorkshire’s emerging housebuilders.

While the business continues to grow, its focus will remain firmly on delivering high-quality homes, backed by honest communication, strong family values and a straightforward Yorkshire approach to doing business.

“As a family-owned business, we genuinely care about what we build, who we work with and the communities we create across all our divisions,” said Jason. “Our entire team is focused on our future strategy to deliver these diversification and growth plans, and we are proud to secure employment for our team, invest in our local communities and support other businesses across Yorkshire to also grow and prosper.”

Avari Homes currently employs 30 people across the business and is committed to supporting skills and opportunities within the local community. Alongside creating new jobs as the company grows, Avari Homes also offers apprenticeships to help young people build careers within the construction and housebuilding industry.

The business is equally passionate about supporting the regional economy, working closely with local tradespeople, contractors and suppliers across its developments wherever possible.

In 2026, Avari Homes will also construct 80 affordable homes at Wakefield’s flagship regeneration scheme City Fields in conjunction with its Registered Provider partner.
