Altrincham based agricultural supplier directory The Farmart, has been announced as winner of the Rural Business Awards (North) in the Best Rural Digital, Communications/Media business category.
Competing against other regional shortlisted finalists across the whole of the North of England and Scotland, The Farmart magazine was announced overall winner during an awards ceremony at the University of Newcastle on Friday 11th October.
Speaking after the event Managing Director Angela Bowcock said “We are delighted to receive this award which is in recognition of all the hard work our team has put in over the last 12 months. Rural businesses contribute a huge amount to the UK economy and our magazine provides an ideal way for firms to promote their products & services to farmers across the North West.”
The Farmart magazine was purchased by Graham & Angela Bowcock in a management buyout in January 2019, with funding provided by Lloyds Bank.
The Rural Business Awards are in their 5th year and give an opportunity for those working in the countryside to showcase their successes. The Farmart will now go forward to the UK national finals event which takes place on 27th February 2020 at The Monastery, Manchester.
