Property consultancy BTG Eddisons has strengthened its Sheffield valuations team with the appointment of senior surveyor James Parkin, as the firm continues to expand its South Yorkshire operation.
James joins BTG Eddisons from the valuation and advisory division at Cushman & Wakefield, where he worked across a wide range of industrial, logistics, retail and office assets. A chartered surveyor and RICS registered valuer, he graduated in Real Estate from Sheffield Hallam University and began his property career in the city.
His appointment comes as BTG Eddisons continues to grow its valuation capability across South Yorkshire and the wider region, responding to increasing client demand for valuation advice across sectors.
The Sheffield team has also celebrated the qualification success of Jamie Lowe, who joined the office as a graduate surveyor in 2024 and has passed his APC qualification to become a chartered surveyor and RICS registered valuer.
The achievement increases the number of registered valuers in the Sheffield team to three, further enhancing its capacity to support clients across South Yorkshire and beyond.
Michael Goodare, director at BTG Eddisons in Sheffield, said: “James’ appointment is part of the wider expansion of our South Yorkshire operation and we are delighted to welcome another talented surveyor to the team.
“We continue to see strong demand for valuation advice across the region and have invested in growing the team to ensure we have the expertise and capacity to support clients with an increasing volume and range of instructions.
He added: “Congratulations also go to Jamie on achieving his APC qualification. His success further strengthens our valuation offering and increases our capacity to deliver for clients.”
James Parkin said: “I’m thrilled to be returning to Sheffield, where I started my property career, and to be joining BTG Eddisons at such an exciting time for the business.
“The firm has ambitious growth plans and a strong reputation in the market, and I’m looking forward to working with the team to support clients across the region and contribute to the continued growth of the Sheffield office.”
One of the UK’s fastest-growing property consultancies, earlier this year Eddisons rebranded to BTG Eddisons, giving clients greater access to the financial and real estate advisory services available across BTG, formerly known as Begbies Traynor Group.
