Real estate consultancy BTG Eddisons has strengthened its North West operation with the appointment of prominent Liverpool property adviser Ian Steele as a director in its property agency team.
Steele has spent the past seven years as a principal at Avison Young’s Liverpool office, having previously been a senior director at GVA. He will work alongside BTG Eddisons property agency directors Robert Diggle and David Baker, primarily focusing on office agency and development.
Well known in the North West property market, Steele has built an extensive network of contacts during his career, particularly in the offices sector. His experience includes office-led development work, office agency and occupier consultancy, and he will play a key role in strengthening that pipeline as well as the business’s property agency offering.
Steele has worked in the North West office market for more than 30 years and has advised clients on a number of high-profile schemes in both the Liverpool and Manchester markets.

Steele’s appointment is part of a wider growth strategy across BTG Eddisons’ northern operation. The firm has property agency teams in Sheffield and Bradford and is also strengthening its agency presence in Manchester, with associate director Paul Parker moving across from the BTG Eddisons auctions team.
The Liverpool office has also made a number of recent appointments across its wider business.
