Belmayne launches free financial surgeries

Belmayne partner, Jon Stevens.

Dronfield-based chartered financial planners, Belmayne, are opening their doors to the local community, to provide free surgeries about preparing for and living through retirement.

The independent practice is holding drop-in sessions every Wednesday evening at its Chesterfield Road office, to answer residents’ queries about their financial wellbeing.

Belmayne’s four partners will be on hand at the evening surgeries, which run from 5-7pm, to discuss the importance of having a clear financial plan in place for retirement, setting realistic savings goals and outlining issues such as tax allowances and the costs of investing.

Jon Stevens, a partner at Belmayne, said: “Financial planning isn’t something anyone particularly wants to devote time to, but it is essential if you wish to maintain your lifestyle in retirement. Our surgeries are intended to provide local people with an informal, no obligation opportunity to have their questions answered about the process. We are happy to discuss any issues, from consolidating work pensions to releasing income from investments, to help those considering professional advice work out the best way forward.”

Belmayne’s next free surgery will be held on Wednesday May 22, from 5-7pm. Visitors are welcome to drop in at any time during these hours, or book an appointment in advance.
