Bark Street Digital, a Bolton based digital marketing agency alongside local gym, KeptFit, have put together a funding and training package to provide a Scholarship Programme for two young athletes in the local community.
The Scholarship was established as a means of assisting those most in need due to the recent Coronavirus pandemic. Young people have been particularly impacted as a result of the isolation suffered by numerous lockdowns, causing an increase in both physical and mental health problems. Maintaining good fitness levels and participating in regular exercise has been shown to significantly improve both physical and mental health.
The two successful candidates who have been chosen to represent the local community focus of KeptFit, and partake in the 12 month programme are Izzy, a local young footballer, and Lucas, a young cricket player.
The scholarship received a high number of applicants and Lucas and Izzy were chosen based on the dedication they have shown in relation to their chosen sports.

The 12 month scholarship provided to Izzy and Lucas, to help them improve upon their athletic abilities, includes the following:
A total of three candidates will be chosen from the applications received, and will receive the following benefits:
- A fully funded gym membership to KeptFit for 12 months
- Unlimited access to the gym and classes
- Regular personal training sessions and a bespoke workout programme, courtesy of Kept Fit’s Head Coach, Alex Youngman.
As we emerge from the pandemic, Bark Street Digital hope to work alongside more local businesses to help improve our community.
