Leading housebuilder, Barratt Developments Yorkshire East, which has a number of new and existing developments throughout the York area, is showcasing its support for the local community by teaming up with Strensall Tigers Junior Football Club as their new sponsors for the Under 5s team, and providing them with brand new football kits for the season.
Located near to Barratt Developments Head Office in York, Strensall Tigers FC is open to boys and girls ranging from Under 5s to Under 16s, and is continuing to grow in numbers every year. Welcoming children of all abilities, the local football team offers friendly fixtures for the Under 5s and Under 6s, as well as competitive matches for the unders 7s – Unders 16s.
Andy Barrass, Head Coach for the Under 5’s team at Strensall Tigers FC, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to the team at Barratt Development for their generous £1,000 donation to our club. We rely heavily on help from the local community and it is great that businesses such as Barratt Developments get behind clubs and groups in the areas they are building new homes. We were able to put the money towards providing brand new kits for the Under 5s team to see them through the coming football season, which they are over the moon with, and we’re proud to see them wearing them on the field!”
