A former North Wales wedding venue, which ceased trading after it went into liquidation last year, is set to be auctioned with a guide price of £395,000.
Harrisons Hall, near Gwernymynydd on the outskirts of Mold, will feature in the next multi-lot timed auction held by BTG Eddisons Property Auctions, in conjunction with property agent Colliers, with bidding opening on 22 June and closing the following day.
The Grade II listed former hotel and wedding venue stands in 5.5 acres of landscaped grounds, with facilities for outdoor weddings and events.
The early 18th-century property includes 11 en-suite bedrooms, a 200-capacity conference and banqueting suite, as well as a kitchen and bar, large conservatory dining area and a manager’s apartment. Planning permission has also been granted to develop an additional 32 bedrooms
The venue previously operated as a hotel and events business before going into liquidation in 2025.
BTG Eddisons Property Auctions director and auctioneer, Edward Feather, said: “Harrisons Hall is a well-known venue in the North Wales hospitality market, so we’re already seeing strong interest.
“Although its recent history has been challenging, the property combines extensive land with the former hospitality and events infrastructure, as well as planning consent for further expansion. This suggests a wide scope for future uses, subject to planning consent.
“While there’s certainly still potential for the site to continue operating within the hospitality sector, we have had enquiries from individuals and organisations with a range of ideas for taking the property in a new direction, from tourism to education, to residential accommodation and more. We’ll be excited to see who buys Harrisons Hall in the auction and what the future holds for this impressive property.”
He added: “As well as the guide price of £395,000, the location is another major attraction, combining a rural setting with excellent access from across North Wales, Chester and the wider North West via the A55.”
Located close to the A55 North Wales Expressway, the property is 17 miles from Chester, 25 miles from Liverpool and 50 miles from Manchester.
The multi-lot timed auction will take place with BTG Eddisons Property Auctions on 22 June. For more details on Harrisons Hall and other properties in the auction, visit the BTG Eddisons Property Auctions website.
