Rudding Park Invests in a Green Transport Future with EV Charge Points from ENGIE

ENGIE, a leading energy and services company with operations in Leeds, has partnered with luxury Yorkshire hotel Rudding Park to install electric vehicle charge points for guests.

Visitors to the award-winning hotel in Harrogate will now be able to charge their electric vehicles free of charge thanks to the addition of newly installed electric vehicle charge points.

ENGIE, which employs 17,000 people in the UK, has already made a significant step into the UK electric vehicle (EV) sector with an end-to-end charging solution for EV drivers and businesses.

Rudding Park, which was named VisitEngland’s Hotel of the Year in April, is the latest business to choose ENGIE to supply and manage its EV charging units.

Matthew Mackaness, Spa Director, said: “The quality of our guest experience is of utmost importance, but we are equally conscious of the impact we make on the environment.

“Wherever possible, we source environmentally-friendly local products and services so we’re delighted to have been able to add electric vehicle charge points using an organisation based in Yorkshire.”

Gary Proctor, Managing Director of Enterprise Energy at ENGIE, said: “As a Group we have delivered 60,000 charge point units around the world and we are excited to be working with a leading Yorkshire business that shares our vision for creating a more sustainable transport future.

“As an organisation we are keen to not only be a part of the EV revolution, but also to make it easier for people – and forward-thinking businesses like Rudding Park – to lead greener lives.”

The ENGIE charge points at Rudding Park are suitable for all electric vehicle types and located in the car park of the hotel’s award-winning spa.
