On 20th June 2025, Sheffield-based construction consultants, Overford, along with property experts, The Investment Room, are set to host a challenging 50-mile bike ride, raising funds for Weston Park Cancer Charity. And they’re looking for construction professionals to join them.
The riders will be heading out from Sheffield into the Peak District with colleagues and friends. The scenic course takes in the sights of the Rivelin and Hope valleys, combined with a light lunch. They return to Sheffield, and the ride finishes where they started at Dam Flask Café.
For one in two people, cancer changes everything. Weston Park Cancer Charity work to support people going through difficult times and the hospital that looks after them. The services, advice, therapies and support the charity provide help everyone to live with and beyond cancer. The funds raised will support vital, pioneering research and clinical trials led by the exceptional medical experts at Weston Park Cancer Centre.
Cat Rhone of WP Cancer Charity said, “this is a wonderful effort, we’re delighted two local firms have joined together for a second year, to help with the vital work we carry out. With this support, we’re able to help people going through some of the most difficult times of their lives with assistance that wouldn’t usually be available to them”.
The ride promises to be a great day out, with some epic climbing and stunning views. However, it also aims to raise as much money as possible to support those living with and beyond cancer. Last year, around 20 riders raised £5k for the charity. This year the team are hoping to at least double that.
The day is also supported by Smart Eire Group who are providing marshalling support on the day. To get involved and join the ride, sign up on the firm’s website.
