Thousands Raised For Charity At Miller Homes Ball

Miller Homes, leading North West homebuilder based in Newton-Le-Willows, has raised over £13,000 at their annual charity ball in aid of charities Habitat for Humanity and Cornerstone.

The housebuilder continues to build high quality homes across the North West and will shortly be launching new developments at the highly anticipated Novus in Stretford, the recently announced Turnstone Grange in Cheshire and Millrose in Blackburn.

Habitat for Humanity works with established partners in more than 70 countries across the world to offer simple but sustainable homes by working with the poorest and most vulnerable people to provide the support needed to help them lift themselves out of poverty, strengthening communities and restoring independence. Cornerstone is a Manchester-based homeless day centre providing shelter and help for disadvantaged adults facing a wide range of social issues, from a warm meal and quality clothing to healthcare access and educational activities. Nationally, Miller Homes has now raised over £500,000 for Habitat for Humanity in the last 3 years and over the last year, they have raised over £15,000 for Cornerstone in the North West.

Hosted on 27th September at the historic Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, Miller Homes welcomed employees, sub-contractors, suppliers, land contacts and professional advisers to an evening with a range of entertainment – complete with a three-course dinner. Charity auctions were held alongside speeches explaining how the funds will be used to aid Habitat for Humanity and Cornerstone.

Ian Smith, Managing Director for Miller Homes in the North West, comments: “Another year and another fantastic charity ball, raising money for two worthy causes. I am very proud of our team and everyone involved with making the night a great success. Not only are we extending a helping hand to our North West region, but also around the world too.”
