Ten years on from Brexit, UK Commercial Group Ltd, one of the UK’s leading specialist facilities support service providers, has announced a major expansion into mainland Europe as part of its long-term growth strategy.
The move marks a significant milestone for the business, which has headquarters in London with offices locally in Newcastle, Manchester and Leeds, and has built a strong reputation for delivering specialist compliance, maintenance and support services across a wide range of sectors throughout the United Kingdom.
The company’s first major European contract will commence in January 2027 and will see the company provide servicing, maintenance, repair and specialist cleaning services for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems and air handling units (AHUs) across multiple countries for a leading leisure operator and a number of private healthcare providers.
The contract is expected to involve operations in ten European nations, including France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland, establishing a substantial new international footprint for the business.
Tony Earnshaw, chief executive officer of UK Commercial Group Ltd, said: “Expanding our operations into Europe is a strategic and necessary step for our business. For too long, many British companies have focused primarily on circulating capital within domestic markets. Sustainable economic growth requires businesses to look outward, develop international partnerships and attract new revenue streams into the United Kingdom.
“This expansion not only supports that objective but also enables us to better serve our growing portfolio of international clients. Our new European contract will involve maintaining critical infrastructure within leisure and healthcare environments, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance with industry and regulatory standards.”
The expansion comes amid growing demand from multinational organisations seeking consistent service delivery across multiple territories. UK Commercial Group believes its established expertise, technical capabilities and compliance-focused approach position the company strongly to support clients operating across international markets.
The move has also required significant planning and investment due to the operational complexities of working across multiple European jurisdictions following the UK’s departure from the European Union.
Tony Earnshaw added: “While the administrative requirements of operating across Europe have undoubtedly increased, we remain committed to building strong commercial relationships throughout the continent. International collaboration creates opportunities for businesses, employees and customers alike.
“Our focus is on delivering high-quality services wherever our clients operate, whilst continuing to create value, employment opportunities and investment back here in the UK.”
The European expansion forms part of UK Commercial Group’s wider growth plans and is expected to create new opportunities for recruitment, skills development and strategic partnerships as the business continues to strengthen its presence in international markets.
Tony concluded: “We are excited to begin this new chapter and look forward to working closely with our European clients as we continue to expand our presence. This is an important step forward for the business and demonstrates the confidence we have in our people, our expertise and our long-term future.”
