Youth football hub scores sponsorship deal with chemical company

A family-owned chemical company has boosted the future of children’s football in the area by becoming the main sponsor of an award winning soccer academy.

Funds donated by Cross Hills company, Airedale Group, will be used by football training centre, Soccer Hub, to develop its programme to inspire the next generation of footballers across North and West Yorkshire.

Airedale Group CEO, Chris Chadwick, explains: “We’re always interested in causes and organisations that we think may benefit from our support and Soccor Hub falls directly in line with our CSR strategy of investing in youth development, local businesses and sporting pursuits.

“Soccor Hub, which covers the Skipton, Keighley and South Craven areas, has a great philosophy to develop players at all ages and abilities to become the best they can be, while gaining self-confidence and making friends, which we’re proud to be supporting.”

Jordan Armstrong, founder of Soccer Hub and a former professional footballer who has played for Blackburn Rovers, Preston North End, Shrewsbury Town and Spanish team, Cadiz CF, set up the business seven years ago and now offers weekly coaching, group training, Soccer Hub Tots, girls and elite soccer academies, a technical development centre and coaching in local primary schools.

He adds: “We are grateful to the Airedale Group for filling the position of main sponsor and official kit sponsor which will allow us to provide new match day kits and accessories for elite academy players which will be used at Junior Premier League and professional academy games.

“We’re also using it to invest in more equipment which will allow us to enhance the Soccer Hub experience for all our footballers across the age groups from our 18 month old ‘tots’ to our 14 year olds to help take their skills and enjoyment to the next level”.

Airedale Group is contributing to the organisation through its charitable arm, the Airedale Foundation, set up to support the company’s local community groups and local charities.

Airedale Group includes Airedale Chemical which has been based in Cross Hills since 1994 and provides chemicals and contract manufacturing to markets including agriculture, dairy, water treatment and waste management.
