Bellway supports Wrexham’s Rhostyllen Roses netball team

Wrexham-based netball team Rhostyllen Roses has received a £350 donation from Bellway.

With two new residential developments taking shape in Wrexham, the housebuilder was keen to offer its support to the girls, providing a donation to cover the cost of the team’s entry fees into the Wrexham & Flintshire League this season.

Formed in October 2023, the Rhostyllen Roses are a friendly group of local girls who enjoy playing netball for fun, competing in a range of social leagues and also every Tuesday evening at the Brymbo Enterprise Centre on Blast Road.

Currently mid table in Division 4, they aim to eventually go up a league but for now the objective is to build up their game time, form a strong bond that drives future success and enjoy playing a sport that they love.

Captain Megan Williams commented: “Netball as a sport is huge and is growing all the time. Many of us on the team hadn’t actually played since school, but getting back into it has been great, bringing us together, creating firm friendships and having fun.

“The donation from Bellway was much appreciated, enabling us to fund our entry into the league and covering the cost of the fees for our division for this season which is a great help for us.”

Sales director at Bellway North West, Jenny Bell, added: “Since inception, the Rhostyllen Roses have gone from strength-to-strength and it’s great to see the girls having so much fun and developing great friendships from their sport.

“With Mountain View on one side of Wrexham and Holt Vale on the other, the club is at the heart of our developments, and we were delighted to help. We wish the girls all the very best for the rest of this season and beyond.”

Bellway currently has two beautiful new residential developments under construction in Wrexham; Mountain View on Gatewen Road and Holt Vale on Holt Road. Both offer a superb selection of high quality new homes that are proving popular with homebuyers.
