ICC Expands Service Offerings with New Partnerships, New Hires, and New Premises

ICC is a UK-based Managed Services IT provider with more than 16 years’ experience in supporting and maintaining enterprise IT systems. The company started life as a hardware support team, but has gradually expanded their services, and is committed to becoming a true one-stop-shop for both hardware and software solutions.

New Partnerships and Accreditations

To facilitate that aim, ICC has recently announced partnerships with a number of technology companies, including VMware and Veeam (the industry leaders in virtualisation and virtual machine backup and duplication technology), and Nimble – a hybrid storage company that offers cost-effective, high capacity and high-speed data storage.

To protect their customer’s data, ICC recently earned the ISO 27001:2013 accreditation. This accreditation looks at the way customer data is handled, and requires employees to be fully trained in security and privacy best practices. ICC performed their own internal audit to this end, and wrote detailed guidance and policies, before having a neutral third party assess their policies as part of the accreditation.

David Horsfall Joins as Sales Manager

David Horsfall recently joined ICC as a Sales Manager, and has played an instrumental role in helping the company to form partnerships with VMWare, Nimble and Lenovo. Horsfall brings several accreditations and 17 years of experience to the table, as well as an extensive network of contacts in the EMEA region.

Long Term Growth

Horsfall’s appointment is just one of several that the team has made in recent years. When ICC moved their main office to Wetherby, they had just 16 employees. Today, the company has grown by 50%, to 29 employees, of which ten are a part of the sales team. The majority of the remaining team specialise in technology and serve one of the firm’s key clients.

As a part of the expansion, ICC opened a second office in Castle Donnington. While the main office houses the spare parts and server support team, the second office allows ICC to provide better, more responsive and personal service to their public sector (NHS and education) clients and to Hewlett Packard.

ICC has traditionally served clients that rely on legacy hardware, but as the needs and interests of their clients grow, they are committed to pushing themselves to create a more rounded product catalogue to benefit their customers. IT systems are mission critical for ICC’s agriculture, automotive and manufacturing clients, and they deal with many other highly specialised and demanding use-cases, including health care and even air traffic control.

To provide clients with the best possible service, ICC has extended its offering to include software, virtualisation and other essential IT services. However, this does not mean that they plan to neglect their core services. ICC still remains a leader in supplying refurbished IT Parts and equipment, and has a team dedicated to sourcing rare parts for legacy systems, and spares or consumables for such rare parts. For many companies, upgrading from legacy hardware is a long, complex and high-risk initiative, and something that will require extensive planning. ICC can help such companies to keep mission critical systems running well while they work on an upgrade plan and perform any testing, training and research required to ensure that plan goes smoothly.

Thanks to the ISO 27001:2013 accreditation, and the certifications as a VMWare Partner and Veeam ProPartner, ICC has clearly positioned itself as a forward-thinking IT services provider. These initiatives are just the beginning of a long-term strategy, and a commitment to providing the best, most rounded managed services support package for clients in all industries.
