The Mayor of Carlisle, Councillor Jeanette Whalen, visited Eden Manor Care Home in Morton, Carlisle, to join staff and residents in celebrating the home’s latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.
As the independent regulator of health and adult social care services in England, the CQC monitors and inspects healthcare providers to ensure they meet fundamental quality and safety standards and to provide consumers with ratings to enable them to make informed choices.
Highlighting the exceptional compassion, dedication and care delivered by the Eden Manor team, the home scored highly in its latest CQC report with consistent ‘Good’ ratings across all assessed areas and elements of ‘Outstanding’ in the specific category for care.
Eden Manor is a superb care home and a key part of the local community in Carlisle. Blending warmth and friendliness with a beautiful environment and a lively joyful atmosphere, every day is lived to the fullest with laughter, conversation, great food, good company and an equal measure of calm reflection and vibrant activity.
To celebrate the achievement, Eden Manor invited residents and their families to join the care team for an afternoon of celebration and appreciation to acknowledge the strong sense of community and care that defines life at the home.
The event was honoured by the attendance of the Mayor of Carlisle, Councillor Jeanette Whalen, who visited the home to recognise the hard work and commitment of the team. Her presence added significance to the occasion and underscored the importance of quality care services in Carlisle.
