North East estate agency group My Property Box is continuing its expansion after acquiring the residential lettings portfolio of Horizon Sales & Lettings for an undisclosed sum.
Around 200 managed properties will transfer to My Property Box as part of the transaction, which marks the group’s 17th acquisition deal in seven years and further strengthens its presence across Teesside.
It forms part of a wider growth strategy that has seen the business expand across the North East and North Yorkshire, supported by a multi-million-pound investment secured from growth capital investor BGF in 2024.
The latest transaction follows My Property Box’s recent acquisition of the lettings portfolio of Ashington-based Clarke Holland, while previous deals have included Ready to Rent in County Durham and Seaham-based Newton Assets.

The deal will allow Horizon to focus on expanding its activities in property sourcing, refurbishment and social housing through its Horizon Community Living initiative.
Operating from the company’s office on Gilkes Street, Middlesbrough, the initiative works with local authorities, landlords and housing providers to create more stable housing solutions and reduce reliance on temporary accommodation.
Founded in 2019, Horizon Sales & Lettings has grown from a start-up into one of Teesside’s best-known property businesses.
