Knutsford-based same day courier and logistics service provider Speedy Freight is a finalist in two prestigious national awards.
Recognising the company’s continued investment in franchise excellence, supply chain innovation and customer service, Speedy Freight is a finalist in the Franchisor of the Year (Established) category in the 2026 British Franchise Association (BFA) Awards and has also made the shortlist for The Customer Service Award in the 2026 Supply Chain Excellence Awards.
The awards are among the highest honours for businesses operating in the franchise and supply chain sectors, with the Supply Chain Excellence award recognising organisations that demonstrate excellence in supply chain management, and the BFA Award celebrating established franchisors that demonstrate outstanding leadership, ethical business practices and a long-term commitment to helping franchisees succeed.
This year’s recognition in the BFA Awards follows Speedy Freight’s Bronze Award in the same category in 2025. Returning as a finalist for the second consecutive year highlights the company’s commitment to long term investment in its franchise network and Speedy Freight is looking forward to discovering whether it can improve on last year’s achievement when the winners are announced later this year.
For Speedy Freight, being recognised as a finalist in both national awards is testament to the progress made over the last 12 months through continued investment in people, technology, operational support and the long-term success of its nationwide network of franchisees.
It is also recognition of a national business built regionally by local business owners who are personally invested in the ongoing success of the national brand and share a commitment to delivering the highest possible standards for customers every day.
Over the past year, Speedy Freight has continued to strengthen every part of the business, investing in technology, learning and development, operational support and customer insight to help its network build stronger businesses and deliver even better experiences for their customers across the whole supply chain.
Commenting on the double nomination, group franchise director at Speedy Freight, Michael Wilson, said:
“We are incredibly proud to be named finalists in these two awards, and excited to see if we can build on last year’s Bronze Award with the BFA.
“The strength of Speedy Freight has always been the people in our franchise network. By supporting ambitious local business owners with the technology, expertise and operational infrastructure of a national organisation, we’ve created a business that can compete successfully with much larger transport providers while never losing the personal service our customers value.
“This is something that we’re incredibly proud of, and that has also now been recognised by the Supply Chain Excellence Awards.
“The recognition for both awards belongs to our franchise owners, colleagues and support teams whose dedication, professionalism and commitment continue to raise standards across our network every day. We’re looking forward to celebrating alongside the very best in UK franchising and supply chain excellence later this year.”
The winners of both awards will be announced later this year, with the Supply Chain Excellence Awards taking place on 5 November in London and the British Franchise Awards taking place on 12 November in Telford.
