Funeral Launches Second Site In Leeds

Experienced funeral directors Kerry Aldridge and David Billington will

A Leeds based funeral service that launched in 2016 and quickly became a major success story, is opening a second site in Bramley as part of a £250,000 investment that has seen a disused building in a prominent town centre location completely refurbished.

Full Circle Funerals will open on the junction of Broad Lane and Upper Town Street on Thursday 7th March and is hosting an open event between 2pm and 6pm where local residents and businesses can find out more about its services. The company has transformed the former Globe Pub into a high-quality facility complete with private meeting areas, visiting rooms, a suite for intimate ceremonies and office space.

Full Circle Funerals, which now employs a team of five, was founded by Sarah Jones in Guiseley and specialises in supporting people to create funerals that truly reflect the person who has died and are helpful for those attending. The company has also pioneered a range of industry innovations and was one of the first services in the UK to acquire a state-of-the-art electric eco-hearse to complement the range of traditional funeral vehicles it offers.

In 2017 the company was presented with one of the funeral industry’s most prestigious awards when it was named as the Best Modern Funeral Director in the UK at The Good Funeral Awards.

The Bramley site will be led by experienced funeral directors David Billington and Kerry Aldridge. David has worked at Full Circle Funerals in Guiseley since its launch in 2016 and Kerry joined the firm last year.

The company’s founder, Sarah Jones, said: “In less than three years we have helped hundreds of people to pre-plan and create funerals at our Guiseley premises. We became funeral directors because we believe that good funeral care supports people to have a more positive grief process and we support people in a way that works best for them – some people like us to give a lot of guidance whereas others want to know what is possible and then be empowered to take full control. We make sure that we are also completely transparent about price throughout, so there are no nasty surprises at the end. We now work throughout West and North Yorkshire but have seen lots of demand for our services coming from West Leeds, which made Bramley an obvious location to expand into.

“The former Globe Pub is an ideal building that has been at the heart of the town for many years. As part of our refurbishment work, we’ve been able to retain many of its character features to create a welcoming environment for clients. When this is combined with David and Kerry’s compassion and experience, we’re confident that we have a strong offering in Bramley.

“Our open event is an ideal opportunity for people to come and visit our premises and the drop-in format should help people to feel comfortable to pop in and meet us, we are really looking forward to welcoming both residents and businesses on Thursday 7th March.”
