Housebuilder St. Modwen Homes has opened its first show home in the North East of England, continuing its expansion across the UK.
The five-star housebuilder officially opened its Turnley show home – a 3-bedroom semi-detached home – at the stunning Seaham Garden Village in County Durham on Saturday [28th March].
St. Modwen Homes was acquired by Miller Homes in February 2025 and the opening of its first of three show homes in the North East marks another major milestone for the business, which began building properties in the region last year.
Over 100 people visited the Turnley across the opening weekend and with show homes set to open at Valley Rise, Consett, in April and Woodcroft Park, Sunderland, in June, the company has its sights firmly set on a successful 2026.
Harry McMullen, Sales Manager at St. Modwen Homes, said: “We are delighted to have officially opened the first St. Modwen show home in the North East of England at Seaham Garden Village.
“We’ve been blown away by the number of people who took time out of their weekends to visit us across the first two days and the universally positive response the homes received.

A new primary school, community facilities, shops and over three miles of cycleways and pathways are also being developed as part of the Seaham Garden Village development.
In keeping with the garden village concept – which blends high-quality housing with abundant green space, local jobs, and essential community services – almost 50% of the site will be open-access, landscaped green spaces for the community to enjoy.

St. Modwen is building 67 three to five-bedroom homes at Seaham Garden Village, with prices ranging from £190,000 to £453,000. Offers including Assisted Move, Part Exchange and 5% deposit contribution are available.
