Trafford Park “Litter Heroes” needed for Spring clean

Volunteers are wanted to act as Trafford Park “Litter Heroes” to tidy up a litter eyesore.

Areas of the Trafford Ecology Park have been blighted by rubbish so a local business is calling on others to get involved in the big clean up.

The DCB Group is teaming up with the Groundwork Trust MSSTT to get out and start the Spring clean on March 22nd.

Victoria Hart, managing director of the DCB Group said:

“We are lucky to have been in Trafford Industrial Park for over 40 years and have seen it thrive and we’re sure we’re not alone in wanting to see the Park be the best it can be, for our staff, our customers and our visitors.

“At the DCB Group we believe in giving back wherever we can and if we all get involved and get stuck in we can make a real difference to our environment for everybody.”

Each year Keep Britain Tidy gets people from across the UK to take part in #GBSpringClean and this year the DCB Group hopes to inspire its neighbouring businesses to help tidy up Trafford Park.

Nina Burns, communities manager for Groundwork Trust, Manchester, Salford, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford, added:

“Trafford Ecology Park is a registered site of biological importance and a wildlife oasis within one of Europe’s oldest and largest industrial parks.
“It is vital that we keep it clean and tidy so it would be great to see a big turn out on March 22nd.”

Any businesses wanting to take park should call Jo Leah on 0161 932 1150 for more details.
